Tasting note

Colour:
Light yellow, almost pale, clear. Lively and flashing reflections.

Nose:
There is a sensation off reshness once the note of bottle reduction vanishes. Notes of White flowers, acacia, lemon. Creamy notes of biscotti and Orange “waffle”, with a very fine vanilla back ground.

Palate:
Fresh, still with an acidity which structures the mouth. Afruity feeling that is very well combined with notes of wood. Smooth and unctuous mouth, polished and abundantly creamy. Touches of honey, fennel, white flower, ripe fruit.

Alcohol: 12% vol

Conde de los Andes also has another more ground-breaking line, Capítulos. A family of wines in which the winemaking is experimental and can change depending on the harvest.

This collection of limited editions, exploring specific aspects of the vineyards belonging to Conde de los Andes, has been launched with Capítulo I: a 2016 Malvasía with good length and interesting citric acidity of which 1,938 bottles have been made.

Capítulo II is a 2016 Garnacha with vibrant acidity and well delineated on the palate, made from plots planted in 1910 and 1940. 1,162 bottles have been made of this one.

In an impressive network of cellars with names like ‘Los Candiles', ‘Los Gallegos’ or ‘De la Flor’, at a depth of 40 metres, lie wines from vintages ranging from 1892 to 2019.

This kilometre, which holds the histories of centuries-old wineries, is the result of our commitment to renovating the cellars, maintaining the historic vintages and making wine in the winery.

More than 450,000 bottles are stored there, of which 40,000 are from before the 1970s.

The collection includes a large number of half-bottles and white wines.
